AUDIO TRANSFERS
All audio recordings are processed through an analog audio enchancer (aural excitor) during the transfer. This processing board enhances the mid and higher frequencies, preserving as much of the original recording to its fullest potential.

VIDEO TRANSFERS

At this time we only transfer VHS & Hi-8 format (S-VHS or Composite connections) straight from player to DVD recorder.

End to End Transfers (no editing or cuts).
Footage is digitized and then transferred to either a playable DVD -or- video files (MPEG II) on a DVD data disk. Speed of a playable DVD is determined by the total time of transferred footage. For best possible quality, we recommend that playable DVDs are no longer than 2 hours. ADD $5.00 per DVD or supply your own.

LP ALBUM COVERS FOR JEWEL CASES GRANAMEDIA can make a digital image of the LP cover and recreate it on a folded paper cover, with song list on the backside. PLEASE NOTE: < click for more info Please note that the image is not a scanned image. This is not possible with scanners. An LP record cover will not fit on the scanner table correctly without losing part of the image. The LP cover is therefore digitized from an analog video camcorder, making it only 640x480 pixels in size. It is then trimmed and enlarged to fit the CD front cover. While the result is a rather low-quality color image, it makes for a reasonable facsimille of the LP cover. PRICE: $3.00 ea SAMPLE LINK: Actual image size. PLEASE NOTE: We use the

as our main shipping service, and usually ship with Media Mail (cheapest & slowest) when mailing media like records and tapes. Rather than just charge one flat fee, we prefer to leave how items are shipped up to the customer and charge a basic fee. Many options like Insurance, Delivery Confirmation etc., as well as other methods of shipment can increase these basic costs. It is up to the customer, but we recommend at least purchasing insurance for your shipments. Delivery Confirmation, or how fast it gets there and back is entirely up to you.

HOW IT WORKS

Pack your media in a secure box, leaving enough room for the extra media that will be sent back with them. Use paper or foam peanuts to fill the space. For odd-shaped media like vinyl records, we recommend you purchase specialized cardboard record mailers to ship them. If you're handy with a utility knife, they're not too hard to make. If that seems like a hassle, you can order them online from places like Bags Unlimted. Many record/media dealers trust and use their shipping supplies.

Weigh your shipment. Calculate and include the return shipping costs along with the duplication fees of your order. You can do this online, or visit the friendly attendents at your local post office, and support our US government service workers (hats off to them). Depending on how many new CD/DVDs are being sent back, this will increase the shipping weight and cost. But don't worry about calculating those fees, we will cover it.

Upon receiving the media, we will carefully handle them and make the transfers as specified in the order. After finishing, we will carefully pack the items back into the shipping box and send them to you in the method requested. That's it.

Therefore we recommend that you carefully choose the box that you will ship with. A box with a lot of pictures and text on it is not recommended. If you do use a recycled box, avoid felt pen mark-outs by using brown wrapping paper. We will do the same when shipping it back. COPYRIGHT ISSUES

Technically, by federal law any reproduction, copying or transfer of copyrighted media to any other media is a violatation of the copyright owner, under the United States Copyright Act (17 U.S.C., PL 94-553, 90 Stat. 2541). But Section 107 of the Copyright Act allows you to duplicate your copyrighted media for personal use within the "fair use" provisions of the Copyright Act.

This means that by law, we are allowed to duplicate our customer's copyrighted audio media only once, for our customer's personal and non-commercial use. By placing an order with us, you agree that the Customer (you) as represented to WhatNots/GRANAMEDIA by placing an order to restore or transfer the Customer's audio media, that Customer is doing so for Customer's personal, non commercial, use and Customer indemnifies WhatNots/GRANAMEDIA for any use by Customer not so within the "fair use" provisions of the Copyright Act.
